Hi All, I'm new to AC but an experienced fish keeper of Rainbows. It is rare for me to ever have sickness or death in my tanks, but since moving from S. NV to N. Nevada I have lost a few here and there. At the moment I have a male Parkinsoni rainbow who has stopped eating & is hanging out by himself. He doesn't appear to be in any distress and doesn't have any visible injury or sickness. There are a couple small grey spots on his body, but these fish are naturally blotchy so maybe it is age.
About every 3-4 weeks I seem to have a sick fish that will eventually die, because I really don't know how to treat an invisible illness. My water tests good except for high ph, they are somewhat accustomed to from S Nevada. I do have to use more Aquasafe as I used to, to handle killing all the minerals & chemicals in the water. Is something in the water doing them in? I really need to get this under control before I lose anymore of my fish. There is little resource here to replace them, on top of the disappointment of losing a fish. Any ideas? Thanks............Carson Fishgirl:fish:
