Aquaclear 110 filter setting not working =?

Sorry everyone,
I tried to decrease the output flow on the AC 110, and all it does is make a cliky noise as if the impeller is hitting the tube. I havnt tried to mess with it for fear of messing it up, but anyways, is there anything I can do to fix the problem?

I use other filter and this happens to me too, when the intake is clogged. I think the cliky noise is caused by not enough flow for the impeller so the pressure around the it goes down and it makes bubbles inside. I think it's called cavitation or something. Anyway can you turn down the flow just enough so it doesn't make the noise? (sorry I'm new here but I can't just ignore a thread with 0 replies in 3 days after reading it through)

I've had problems with my AC not seating down properly a time or two. Really didn't know what the problem with mine was, either. Yours is apparently seated properly or it wouldn't run fine on high flow and not low flow. BIO's explanation sounds better than any I could give.
