Has anyone had any luck breeding their own Ghost Shrimp? I'm curios as to what would be involved. Also, what are the best water conditions for keeping ghost shrimp?

I never successfully bred ghost shrimp. I got as far as the females breeding and carrying eggs, but they never hatched, or the babies got eaten. I don't think it would be that hard if you had a tank to put the female in while she carries the eggs. I imagine they breed easily, since they are cheap.

Here's an article that my help.

I was wondering the same thing, as i just got 4 ghost shrimp and i did some reading.

This guy bought 25 ghost shrimp and sealed them in a rubbermaid tub full of water, sand rocks and driftwood with some very small fish. he opened it a month later to over 1000 babies.

I think my problem was that I never added any salt to the water. Mine lasted a few months, then I had to shut their tank down. I moved them in with my kribs and they got eaten.

Could be worse, I have kids t.v. show songs stuck in my head all day. I'll be doing dishes and find myself humming the theme to "Teletubbies" or "Seasame Street".
