I recently bought a used fluorescent light and decided to put it on my 10g since it doesnt have a light. there seems to be some REALLY fine dust floatin around, not so much that im worried. Is it air dust, or what is it?

is your aquarium covered? if not, then i would say it's most likely dust

no, its in the basement and i made the tank and I havent got a cover for it yet.

it can. i advise getting the cover for it. there's no telling what stuff is floating around in the air.
also, you won't lose as much water through evaporation!

ill try and get a cover. I already posted that I got an aquaclear mini for 2 bucks a little bit used, and I added it after literally 1 hour of scrubbing the filter of the previous users algae to the tank for extra filtration. The dust is goin away after netting with a super fine net and the filter
