So, about a month ago or so, my wifes computer took a nose dive off the bed where I was working on it. Find out the cpu took a major hit, and it died. Had a seagate hard drive in it, that also died. So, I buy her an athlon 1200, as her motherboard can handle up to 1.4, and an 80gig Western Digital Hard drive with an 8meg buffer. Put an operating system in it, and all is well. I says to myself, cool. Now she has a comp that can keep up to mine. As fine and good, right? NO! My comp starts to act funny. Spontaneous reboots, cmos errors, to finally not even booting at all. Everything powers up, but no post, no beeps, no nothing. So, I unplug the thing, put it up on the bed, (carefully this time) and proceed to see what the matter is. Come to find out, that I put the heatsink on my pc backwards, it must have over-heated and is now dead. Haste definately makes waste. I really hate when I make a foolish mistake that I know better on, only to find out that I did it wrong, and it costs me money. Money that I do not have right now to be throwing around needlessly.
Ah well, C'est le vie!
New processor on its way, just have to wait for it to be shipped. Meanwhile, I will be on the wifes comp, as mine is down.....and all my games are on mine. I am going to go nuts without them.........:scry:
