Very curious...looks like a HOB won't work in the back fuge of the aquapod do to the water level being more than 2 inches from the top.

Never used that one or seen it. But if it helps any, Tunze is generally a well regarded product.

I have a tunze 9002, and it is a great skimmer.
The only issue you might have is getting it to fit in the back of your tank. If the water level is 2" below the rim, you might have to fit the entire collection cup into that area.
It is a little hard to explain, but the top of the "box" part of the unit needs to be about 1/2" inch above the water line. Look at the pics of the unit, and you might be able to figure out what the problem would be.
If you give me the exact measurements of your rear fuge area, I might be able to help you out.

I am also thinking about a Remora...The online customer service said 2 to 3 inches of additional head shouldn't compromise the system that much. That I could hob. I have seen mods with the Tunze in the back dept. with the overflow however the mechanical filtration (floss) has to be removed.
