tut tut! dont diss marge(top loach):hmm3grin2orange:
but the answer to your question is clown loaches can get big fat and beautiful, they have a growth spurt when there young and once they reach roughly depending on the loach 4-5 inches or a little less they grow alot slower but again this would depend on diet, but there lovely to have, best kept in a big group of about 4/5 or more, but a big tank is needed for there growth,thumbs2:

Marge is small at 10 inches really. According to many, loaches can get even larger. Some real monsters have been found in the wild and they can live 30 years so have a lot of time to grow. I have read that aquarium loaches remain at about 8 inches unless they are in huge tanks. Hard to say and I guess you'd have to have them their lifespan to see just how big they get.
About the time I think mine are still really small, I look at them at the petstore and see just how really small they are when sold and it makes mine look like giants.

Dave had an awesome post somewhere on growing clown loaches
to their full potential, I can't for the life of me find it though.
A 14" Clown, now how awesome would that be?

It will probably take 10 years to get that huge. A school of small clowns is well worth it in ANY fish tank of about 50 gallons or more. I've had mine 2 years and they've grown to about 5 inches. I think they will grow more slowly in the next couple years.
