I can get these cherry shrimp by the dozen for a real good price. I was thinking of putting them in my fry tank to scavenge debris and hopefully multiply. Then, I can always have cherry shrimp on hand to feed my frontosas, catfish, and eel.
Are these a good food source for these fish?? They already get 2 types of pellets, earthworms, and frozen shrimp cubes.

Well cherry shrimp are prolific breeders. You can get a huge population rather quickly. I'm sure most fish would eat them.

You might want to consider ghost shrimp instead. They are larger in size and are a fair bit cheaper. Many places sell feeder ghost shrimp. Here about $1/dozen.

Throw the cherry shrimp in a 10 gal if you have one avaliable. I bought 20 of them maybe 5-6 months ago, after about 2 months I split them into 2 tanks. I would say I have a good 500-600 by now. every once in awhile I will throw a few into all the tanks for food. Def easy to get a big population in a short time. And I honestly slacked on their tank when it came to water changes and such. Once you get enough you could start selling them, around here they go for about $2.

well, they're $10/doz here, while ghost shrimp are about $4/doz. I think I'll go with the cherry's.

I have a 20 gallon with some eartheater fry and 4 small calvus. I think they'll do fine in there.
