Blue Rams????

i just bought to blue rams, anyway that is what the store told me. but all the photos i see online show them with more of a vibrant blue than what mine are. i think it might be their age, so do they get bluer as they get older. and is there any way to tell the sex of them.

Blue rams are somewhat sensitive and will get bluer as they settle down in your aquarium provided you give them a good environment.

Blue Rams are easy to sex as the adult female is smaller and has red/redish color on her belly which the male doesn't

they both are starting to settle in. both of their black spots are getting darker and the line across their eyes are too. does the males spot and line across face stay lighter than the females, or do they look the same?

The females may or may not have a pink belly, however the males never do.

The male's dorsal and anal fins tend to be longer than the females, but this is not always true.

Also, if the black spot on it's side has flecks of blue within it, it is most likely a female.

although the store may have said that they are blue rams there are several other rams like mines that don't really have that real strong color.
