75% of the sites on the internet say banjo catfish will not eat smaller fish. Is this true.

There aren't many fish small enough for a banjo to eat to start with, though I suspect they'd be quite happy to consume any eggs they happened across. Fine for just about any community tank, just not a breeding tank for egglayers...

You probably know this, Amazon, but banjo cats should be fed only at night, as they are too sedate and slow to compete for food otherwise, and are highly nocturnal anyway. And they are aquatic worm and insect larvae suckers, but they wouldn't say no to frozen Mysis shrimp and a few high-quality meaty pellets of an appropriate size also on the menu.
Just drop the food close to the place the fish hides an hour or two after light's out.
