On Yahoo answers this one person said he had a baby bull shark in a 25 Gallon. Then he also asked why it would not turn around! No duh that fish is going to be clastrofobic!

I just can't understand the idea of keeping animals that are known to grow large as pets?
I know. Then this one guy asked if he could get a baby bull and great white shark for their 175 gallon. Well everybody agreed with him!

Do you have the feeling these people will end up getting bitten? I hope they realize these animals have teeth.

What???????????????????????????????? I can't even imagine some guy wanting a great white or bull for aquarium. Even if it was a million gallons. It's just dumb.
I know. Some day this guy will have to learn.

There's some people out on the internet called trolls, the people you see posting these things are most likely trolls. Trolls post highly offensive things to get a reaction out of other people, just for the kick of it. If something seems ludicrous or unbeleivable (especially on Y!A) then it usually is.
Remember, it's hard to lie when your talking without somebody seeing through you, but when reading words on a computer screen you can't sense the humor and ammusement the guy is expecting to get out of it.

Yes they will. And I hope they get a nice sharp bite. It serves them right for keeping poor fish like that in tanks that size. When really they should never keep these fish at all.

Really, its quite possible he has a bull shark if he hails from a place where they live. You would need 10's of thousands of gallons if you want a prayer at keeping something like that.
No white sharks have ever been kept alive in captivity at all, unless thats changed recently.

I read that a place in japan kept one for a few months but they released it back into the wild because it wasn't thriving and it was killing other creatures in the tank because it was so stressed.

I was a bit concerned about putting a book on sharks and rays in my booklist, since most have no business in aquariums, but I've always felt education is very much preferable to blind ignorance.

I understand your feeling.
Just a thought may be you might want to write a note in bold saying your points about it under your book.

I even fell sorry for sharks when they are in large tanks like ones at aquariums. In Japan the aquarium there has a whale shark. It is like crowded.
