I saw one today at my LFS. It's absolutely beautiful.

wow! i had to look at it a minute to figure out where it's head was. man marine fish are awesome looking. maybe one day when i'm all growed up i can have a marine tank :ezpi_wink1:

I keep dreaming of saltwater tanks, too. Maybe once I have a few years experience at freshwater first.

I also saw one of those dog faced puffers (CUTE!!!), a dwarf lionfish, and a big yellow tang. Their colors are amazing.

You know, kimmers, this betta was sharing a tank with a dog faced puffer..... maybe they're cousins twice removed? LOL

It's not a betta species :ezpi_wink1: It's common name is Marine betta or comet. It's a Calloplesiops altivelis. They live off the coast of northern Australia and the Indo-pacific region. I have seen them at the local underwater world a few times. They are gorgeous looking fish like nearly all marine species. I would love a salt water tank :18: but it's soooo expensive compared to freshwater
