I love my planted tank, and i really want the plants to thrive, so i've decided to upgrade the light on it to a higher output to provide fully for the tank. The question is which one.

The tank is a 20g Long, 30"x12" footprint. Right now its got a full hood on it with a single bulb of unknown wattage. Im looking at changing it over to a glass canopy and getting a 30" light.

The two im looking at are:

I really like the firsts lunar lights, but i've heard alot of good about T5 bulbs. Also how does everyone feel abour marinedepot? I am very cautious of where i hand out my credit card info on the web :D

Of the two Id get the T5 system to. Mostly because IMO that 65watt PC will be a bit much for a 20G long...youd be hitting 3wpg and would probably have some algae problems unless you got into CO2 expecially since with substrate your tank is going to be really shallow. For most plants out there you could easily get away with a double bulb standard strip lite on a 20long :)

Thanks for the advice, we just ordered the T5 from MarineDepot. Also got a new glass canopy for the tank tonight since the old one isn't going to work with it anymore.

Once again, thanks alot :D
