Are there any reef safe stars that A - won't starve to death B - won't cause my staghorns/scarlets/twin spot to starve to death C - stay relatively small or are slow growers D and finally would be a good addition. I know the water quality has to be top notch for stars and most likely my tank needs to mature...another 6 months or so...but just wonderin'

Can you get your hands on a copy of last month's issue of Tropical Fish Hobbyist? If you can there is an article in there that would be perfect for you to read. It is all about Sea Stars. Excellent article that I highly recommend for anyone considering a star. Due to dietary needs, many sea stars starve to death on aquariums. About the only thing I'd put in there would be a Serpant star, but that could even be somewhat iffy.

I'd had pretty good sucess with a Pink Tile starfish. They are reef safe, stay small enough for my 14gal nano, and are pretty hardy. Maybe you'd want to look into one of them.
