yep, my tiger barbs are growing up.

My little babies showed me their first dispute today. I looked over and saw these two circling each other VERY closely (almost touching) just spinning around and around then they bumped their noses together and then they started doing that slow body shimmy with their sides almost touching. It was probably the cutest thing I've ever seen. They're only an inch long and alread starting their hierarchy lineup. I think the one that has a little green patch on his side is the one that lost. He swam away first although he came back again later. They did this for a good two minutes straight!

Great video glasstapper! My clown loaches have been doing something similar for over a week now and I know they are way too young to breed. They are actually starting to look like they have swollen lips from it. I sure hope they settle their differences soon!

First time I seen a couple of my barbs fighting like that, I was sure I would find one dead following morning, but they got through it, and only fight like that from time to time now, it is very fullon and can last a couple of hrs sometimes.

You know, earlier this evening I saw one of my barbs doing a weird shimmy thing and isolating himself from the others. I wonder if he wasn't one of the ones that was fighting and maybe injured or disoriented himself? He's sleeping with everyone right now (cute little headstands), but I'm anxious to see how he is in the morning. Hopefully he just needed some recuperation time. *hopefully*
