Instead of getting a 20g, I'm probaly getting a 29g. Could I get an angel(or angels) in it? If so could I get any other fish?

Yes, you can get angels in that tank, but I would limit it to a pair. Then fill it in with other fish, ones that are not "torpedeo shaped" as they will be food when the angels get bigger. I would get either rasboras, or similar looking fish, diamond tetras, bleeding hearts etc. Also, corys for cleaning your bottom, and perhaps some oto's for cleaning algae.
I wouldn't put more than 2 angels in that tank, as optimally, they need about 15 gallons per fish.
Hope that helps.

How would you feel about just one? If you get two, there is a high probability that they will fight until one is dead. You could have a school of medium sized tetras with one....

Yeah, I'd be fine with one and some cories. Could I get 2 guoramies(they love each other and the other fish) with the one angel and some cories?

If you are referring to Dwarfs, no problem. Some of the larger Gouramis get aggressive as they age, so it can be risky. I have a Blue Gourami with an Angel in my 55gal. and have had no problems
I don't agree that angels should go in a 29, I think too small. My opinion based on other's experience and a lot of reading.

Yeah it's a blue guorami and a gold one. They get along great with each other and all the other fish.

Definitely not room for those and an Angel...

I feel 15g per fish is plenty, I have breeding pairs in bare 20g highs
I have never lost an Angel as a result of fighting, and in my community tank they squabble often

I would stick with a single angel if you want to keep other fish.

Dwarf gourami are very territorial, but you might be able to have 2.Personally,I would only get 1 though.
