Hi, my boyfriend and I share an account, we are Klare and Dave :)
I have had some experience with tanks since I was a teenager and have recently had an mbuna cichlid tank for two years and now have a tank mainly for an oscar. So in the grand scheme of things am relatively new at this, Dave has just started to take an interest in fish keeping since he met an oscar.
We now have a 55 (just over) gallon tank 4 1/2 x 2 x 2 with a fluval 405.
Currently we have an oscar (Oscar Hurst Helmsley) a blood parrot (Shawn) a common plec (Dwayne 'The Rock') a cockoo syno (Steve) a silver dollar (Ted 'The Million Dollar Fish') and an opaline gourami (Big Show).
We are aware of the requirements of Oscar, as he grows we are reducing our population with the aim of the tank just holding him and the parrot and the bottom feeders, my other post explains more. Ultimately we are hoping one day to get a much bigger tank as we're aware 55 gal is the absoloute minimum for oscar let alone other fish :)
So hi from us and our fish!
