Hi there :help:
I am going to be looking for a 90 gallon tank -- I am wondering what you all think would be a good price -- I am talking just the tank and a cheap, but sturdy stand. Just wondering what ballpark I will be looking in
thanks to those who give out their 2 cents
I would say somewhere around 200 new and 140 used..

I don't know about a price, but I do know where there's a large used tank that I'm guessing is a 90, it's sitting on a low iron stand at a consignment store in Portsmouth. Usually, their stuff is kind of pricey but the building is for sale so they might be willing to make a deal... not sure though. There are a bunch of saltwater accessories sitting inside the tank and I'm guessing it's all a package deal, but I dunno, if you're interested PM me and I'll tell ya what store.
EDIT: I did ask about it when it first showed up a couple months ago, and the lady said she was going to price new ones at the pet store to come up with her price, but she never got back to me

What a pity, that was a steal at that price mate.
Regarding tank prices you guys don't know you are living in
the US, I can't believe some of the bargains you get there.

If you want to get a used one, look of craigslist and ebay (make sure you limit the search area). There are some amazing steals out there. I've seen 100 gallon tanks with stand, canopy, filters, lights going for 50-100

My SOs 90G Oceanic with cabinet, double bulb strip light and glass tops if I remember correctly cost $600...I think the tank alone was $275 tho. Im sure you can get an All Glass/Aqueon for right at $200 in the right places tho :)

I am selling mine on Craigslist for 200 dollars and it includes both breeding Mbuna colonies (yellow lab & demasoni) S. multipunctatus-4, S. Angelicus, Chocolate Pleco, Royal Pleco, 4 x4 frame, Rock work (slate and basaltic lava rock), Nova Extreme hot5's, 2 AC 110's, 300 watt heater, and the footprint is the wide footprint it is 2' by 4'....yes I am insane...to bad you don't live near Pasadena.
However, I would not pay over 125 for a used aquarium that is a 90 myself. The way the economy is, being the consumer...you set the price. When somebody is asking ridiculous prices for used aquariums...I always send them an email full of nice cynicism...to the effect of...are you serious? or you need your meds adjusted again (only in jest). But that's just me and I live for conflict...on the other hand I am very kind and fair. I have learned the hard way that......
