Moved my Dovii!

I finally moved my Dovii to his new (but still temporary) 75 gallon tank this weekend. He managed to find his way to the floor 2 times between getting him out of his old tank and placing him in his new one. I also had the chance to measure him and he's at 10 1/2 inches long. I'm planning on keeping him in the 75 until he is about 14" long, then he will take the 180 for himself.

I tried talking to him, but I don't think he understood what was going on!? He ended up getting a few lightly torn fins, but he is quickly going back to his 'tough guy' attitude! I think he's in the process of reclaiming territory, because he's been darting all over the place biting the tank decore and pushing things around. He definitely seems to be enjoying the extra space though. I really am glad that's over with...until next time, when he's bigger!

Mr. Dovii seems very happy!

Last night I noticed that he is starting to display an awesome gold coloration down his sides! I'm assuming it's from the caratonoids in the Krill, but I've never seen that in a Dovii before! I wish I had the digi cam available! I would love to share some new pics of him and his domain! After Christmas I'll get some new shots of him.
