A number of our members may be entitled to awards/medals, but they don't know how to request them. Until we can automate this, you need to request your own awards (the mods also do this for you if see that you are entitled, but it's rather hit or miss).

Here are the basic ones that you can earn rather quickly if you are an active member:

Bronze Blog Award - 25 entries made in your blog
Silver Blog Award - 100 entries made in your blog

Bronze Reputation Award - 100 rep points
Silver Reputation Award - 1000 rep points
How to give rep points - If you like the advice that someone has posted, or liked their post because it provides great information to everyone, then click on the scale symbol (top right of post box) in that post.

Bronze Activity Award - 250 posts
Silver Activity Award - 750 posts

Bronze Gallery Award - 10 pictures uploaded to the members' gallery
Silver Gallery Award - 50 pictures uploaded
Gold Gallery Award - 100 pictures uploaded

How to request - Click on this link (http://www.aquaticcommunity.com/aquariumforum/awards.php) to go the the Awards page. Scroll down the page until you find the award you are entitled to. To the right of the award description is a link you can click on to request the award. Note that some awards are only for contests won, like TOTM, so you can not request those types of awards. Enter in your name, the recipient user name (your username), and the reason. For example, in the name box, I would type, "Greg", in the Recipient username, "fins_n_fur", and in the Reason box, "more than 250 posts", if I were claiming the Bronze Activity Award.

Still not sure how to do it? Send me a pm and I'll help!

How do you know how many reputation points you have?

Go to the top of the page and click on user CP.

There will be a list of who has given you rep and just above on the right it will have a number. That is how many rep points you have:ssmile:

Click on the User CP (control panel) button in the main bar of buttons near the top of your browser (User CP, FAQ, Members List, New Posts, etc). Underneath the subscribed threads section (if any), you'll see Latest Reputation points. Follow that to the right and you'll see the total number.

How does a member find out how many threads they have started?

Go to search, choose advanced search, enter in your name for username, and then choose Find Threads Started by User (not posts). It should give you a total (to the right hand side of the screen showing results 1 - 25 of 999 where 999 should be your thread count. You have 45 at the moment.

How do you add the little symbols or gifts that show up in the top right of the box? I'd like to set some up on some of the profiles.

People will buy them for you after you've been here awhile. They cost 1000 points to the buyer.
