How can I tell what sex is my Jaguars

I had a batch of Jags that hatched about 3 months ago. being this was my first time breeding my jag's I'm wanting to know how and when I would be able to tell the sex of my baby jag's.

How big are they? Post some pics and I'll give you some pointers on sexing them.

Same as adults, as they get bigger and mature (or get close to maturity) the same differences in adults will become more apparent in the juveniles.

Males have wider mouths/heads. Females have more slender heads, with smaller mouths. Thats one early way to tell, but they'll hafta be over an inch or so to tell forsure.

Females will also become much more short and chunky than a male.

If you really want to know, just vent them.

Thanks alot guys once I get some pics of them I'll post them. Right now they are about an inch long.

They are probably to small to sex at this size, but pics couldn't hurt.

you could also try venting the fish, the process may be a little tricky for a small fish but basically you just view the set-up of the anal vents:

o_o = male
O_o = female

The fish are still way to small to sex yet. Let them grow another inch or two and maybe it will be possible.
