Just thought I'd throw up a couple shots of my Frogspawn to compare the growth.
This first picture was taken on July 8th.

Thanks. That color change in the second picture is real. It really did color up that much. The color of the rock shows the maturation of the tank over the last 5 months.

Very nice. The second picture is the same color as ours. I got a question if you don't mind me asking, but how do they reproduce, as far as how and where do new heads form?

If you look closely among the tentacles of the coral, you will see the mouth of each polyp. Each polyp will divide to become 2 separate polyps and each will grow it's own hard branch.

Very nice! I'm always a fan of before and after shots. I also like the coraline development on the rock.

In addition to heads splitting as already described, new heads can also appear from other parts of the skeleton as long as it's covered by soft tissue, sprouting from other portions of the coral not originating from any of the heads.

If I can get a shot of it, I actually have an example of that happening on this very coral. When I purchased this coral it was a single head that had just started to split. The 2 resulting heads are currently in the process of splitting to be 4, but right in the middle between the heads that resulted from the original split, there is a 5th head sprouting up.

I managed to save one polyp from mine...so far it's looking good! It will take it a while to grow though...

It's grown even more, and it is sprouting about 5 more heads from the flesh.
Excellent! Are you target feeding it anything special?

Not really. It does get a squirt of SF Bay Marine Cuisine carnivorous blend every week. The main thing I'm providing for it is well balanced Calcium and Alkalinity.
I was wondering. Mine loves to eat.
