Cooking with a Betta can be fun

I had to share this with all of you.
I keep my 5 gallon tank in the pass through window between the kitchen and the livingroom. I can see it from both rooms.
While fixing dinner and watching tv and the fish, I noticed that he kept flairing his gills all the time. I thought he was really glad to see me busy in the kitchen. :1luvu: Nope.... He was looking at the stainless steel bowl I was using to mix in. He could see his reflection. I don't know how long he was at it. It took him quite some time to calm down after removing the bowl. I guess they can see out as well as we can see in.

Mine never calms down when Im in the room, only difference is in a mirror he flares up. Otherwise hes acting crazy :/

I have a betta in the kitchen too, right next to the cutting board. I always feel funny when preparing fish!
