I put 2 mystery snails in my tank full of ghost shrimp. I observed the shrimp harassing them by knocking the snails off the glass sides of the aquarium. Today I found one of my snails dead, with a ghost shrimp wedged between the snails operculum and the shell. I got ghost shrimp because I thought they were non-aggressive. T_T

I had 3 of them in my 10g untill my heater went crazy and heated up the tank to somewhere in the high 90s. anyways they are kind of aggressive they never attacked my fish but When I would drop an algae pellet in for my corys the biggest ghost shrimp would take the whole think for himself and hide in a cave.

Today I discovered one of the smaller ghost shrimp half eaten alive by one of the larger! I wasn't sure what to do, the front half was struggling trying to escape, while the back half was completely consumed by the other. I tried throwing in some flake food to see if he'd spit out his current meal to go after that, but he just ran away to where I can't find him. I don't know why they prefer to kill rather than eat the flake food. I've been feeding them so much that I now have hydra in the tank. These ghost shrimp are incredibly aggressive!

My ghost shrimp was always scared of my danios and tried to stay away from them. Then one day he disappeared permanently... Perhaps it depends on the situation.
