Okay, well they're not exactly fry... Maybe juvenile is the word I'm looking for?

I have 2 tanks currently, and I really would only like to have one. My 2 Honey Gourami's had babies around June (so 6 months ago, give or take) and I'd like to add them back into my 30 gal community tank - Consisting of a large apple snail, the two honey gourami's and 8 neon tetra's.

Now I only have about 7 babies, of which I will most-likely only keep 2 or 3 (there are a few that I wouldn't sell/give away because of deformities) They are currently only about the size of my neons... Not sure if they've grown up properly. They're in a 20 gal by themselves.

But my question is - Is it okay to put them in with their parents even if it may only be for a few months? I just don't really want to get rid of them until they are grown up a bit more, but I really want to get rid of one of the tanks. It's on the verge of breaking, and the cover is only a mesh wire (small squares)
I think it really should be used to house a dry pet, although there are no cracks.

Any suggestions? I'm fairly new to fish, so any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

if its only for a few months i dont see where there may be any problems, keep a close eye on your parameters since your bioload will go up and do your water changes as neccesary

Great. Should I add them in slowly? It's not impearative that I get rid of this tank ASAP or anything. Or can I just put them in and watch the water levels?
