Balas in my opinion are one of the most difficult fish to get a decent
shot of, their unpredictable movement, silver colour and speed all
combine to make them a very difficult subject.
here's a couple of pics of mine, not great but i'm working on it.

:goldfish: :fish: OH another incredible shot Brookfish! oh that bala coming out of the sand! I had a bala and it must have banged its head oh it was a good six inches. Bit size of a caplin. I just found it dead one day. What a fish it is!!!!! What photography. I am practicing. Did you see my discus in the gallery? 11811

2 different fish NG. plus it's a tighter crop on the pic, both balas
are around the 7-8" mark.

hmm do you have any future plans for them?

No immediate plans, they are happy, healthy and active in that tank.

Anyone have a pic of the bala i can't find it.. mine got so big it banged its head. poor thing. nice size it grew though. Imagine if you had a school of them in a big tank. ohh woow what a sight that would be.
