New to the board but not to the hobby... I've got 2 tanks, 20G community and a 42G Malawi. I've tried other boards on the net and haven't had the best of luck. I've got high expectations of this one and hope to become a long time member.

Beautiful tank brother! You should enter that in the tank of the month (TOTM) comp. Welcome to the forum, I'm sure you will feel right at home here. We have a section for Malawi cichlids (as I'm sure you already know) and there are several of us regulars that keep rift lake fish. I have a 72 gallon mbuna tank now. Here is a picture.

The fish are blurs but you get the idea.

Again, welcome to the forum.

That's an awesome tank! I've been pretty skeptical aout extensive rock work because I live in a apartment on the second floor and sorta have to watch my weight!

Thanks! That is about 200 lbs (90 kilos) of rocks. My tank is more than 600 lbs with just water. Whats another couple hundred lbs?

What are you keeping now?

This particular tank is actually my Malawi tank. Very untraditional with plants and such, but the fish don't seem to mind and actually use the plants as cover when hiding from the "bullies".

I've got:
1 - Yellow Lab
2 - Salousi
4 - Lombardoi
2 - Golden Nugget Pleco

My community tank has 5 neons and 5 platties... defiantely not as exciting!

To answer your question cocoa_pleco, I'm actually in the US Army, is that what you were talking about, or the Bundesphere?

Welcome to AC, that's a beautiful tank you've got, certainly not traditional, but lovely nonetheless (are those all live plants?). Well, I hope AC fulfills your expectations. Enjoy your stay :)

F1oored: Beautiful tank as well, your rockwork has changed quite a bit since you posted the initial pics. I love the rounded, soft blue/purple look created by the rocks. Did you cut into that one rock in the right hand corner of did you find it like that?
