Look what I found! The picture's not the best, I know.

This fish is the bomb-diggity. It'll fallow you around the room, and it’s really cool.

I don't know if that’s natural, but it has a 'hump-fin', the store owner said that that fish was obtained by a trade in with another customer, so they don't know how the dorsal fin got like that. But isn't it cool?

cant remember, but dont hump fins result from when angels are not kept in a too small/not tall enough tank? maybe the previous owner kept him in a small tank

There is no such thing as a hump finned angelfish.... this guy has either grown in a tank much too small and it has caused his fin to misform or he has broken his top fin.

Me and my deformed fish.... my girlfriend thinks it ugly too. It's fine with me, guess thats what matters?

Beauty is really in the eyes of the beholder, isn't it? You love your fish so he is beautiful to you. You have given him a good home so you have done a great job.

If you think it looks fine and will cherish and love it till it goes to fishy heaven, that's all that counts. I have a deformed angel that I love to bits. Had I seen it like it is at the LFS, I never would have purchased it. The deformity only became obvious when it got older. But you know what? It's the first fish in the morning that greets when it's feeding time. It's the first fish to come up and say hello when I stop to look at the the tank. It's the first fish that says hello when I come home from work. It's the only fish that will follow my me or my finger. It will probably be the first fish that truly breaks my heart when it passes on.

It's a beautiful Angel...I love fish that are "different" in some way...it makes them special! :fish2: Fish can't all be beautiful, just as people aren't...and usually the "beautiful" people don't have personalities to match. It may be the same for fish!!!

cool looking fish. Don't worry about the dorsal fin, that happens with angels somtimes. As for the coloring it looks like its a Gold Smokey or a GoldMarble Smokey. Plan on breeding?

I can't even breed snails! That's a lie, but I really haven't bred anything. My breeding list is empty. I'll think about getting another female (because I think I have a male now, I googled it) Smokey Angelfish, and see what happens.

I think he's beautiful. I have a pair that have the same coloring and my male looks just like that minus the bent fin. Maybe not as flashy as some of the other colors, but I prefer more natural looking fish. He's lucky you found him!

Yeah, thanks guys. He does seem happier. I don't really know if he was from a small tank before he was traded in with my lfs (which put him in a tank that was maybe around 30 gallons, which is a good tank size) but he is much more lively.

I'm looking forward to being with him.
