This one insists on spawning on the filter, it won't even look at
slate or long leaved plants, lol

No problem! I don't mind expressing myself . Your pics are all fantastic.
What is it you do for a living?
Is photography a hobby for you or a career?

Photography is just a hobby but I have done a few shoots for people,
family portraits, graduation pics, that kind of thing.
Oh and I did a friends wedding a few weeks ago, now that was an
interesting experience.

You have the knack for it!:thumb:
You obviously have the camera as well! lol:ezpi_wink1:
All I have is a Canon power shot 8 .0 but it has no stability options so I tend to have the need for a tripod.
I plan on investing large for my next camera.I am tired of these pocket sized models.thumbs2:

Have you decided what kind of camera you are going to go with yet?

Thanks, I would love a Nikon 300 as well. lol
regarding light in the tank I use a nikon sb800 (speedlight)
it's way more powerful than your on board camera flash
and you can either attach it to the hotshoe, or use it of camera
in commander mode to get different lighting effects on a shot.
it is a great bit of kit and one I use all the time.
What lense do you have for the d40? I think I took those pics
with my kit lense the 18-70mm, so yes you could easily get pics like that.
