[COLOR="Blue[/COLOR]this might sound strange but i think the rainbow I purchased is a tinfoil barb. I have never kept rainbows but this one acts like a barb. Not as colourful as the rainbow i bought with it that is deepening in its blueish colour. Rainbows i do not think are as fast as barbs. What is the price of a barb vs a rainbow. Rainbows will get to be two inches i think.

The finnage definately shows a rainbow.... could be a young Glossolepis incisus

Pretty sure now it is a Glossolepis incisus - when really young they are a greyish color...then at 6-7 months they start to develop a red hue coloring... at around a year old they then transform into the super bright red they are when adult.

Why not post your photos here so people don't have to go in search of them?

Anyway, I have no idea what that second fish is. It's eye looks too big for a rainbow and it has an odd body shape. I "think" the rainbow is a splendida.

okay both are spendido rainbows. She is ugly compared to the other fish. The other one looks like a rainbow. i might get more. i tried to attach a pic here i will try again. Did you see my other angel in the picture gallery? I was reading the page on fish photography. i did like that shot of the moving firemouth with the blurred background. i would love to catch the clowns while they are out in the morning. All seven of them.

Yip it is also a rainbow... so you have 2 different types of rainbows :19:

They can breed pretty easy if you set your mind to it...
