Just wanted to point out that you can make a quick breeding or isolation net with a hanger and some pantyhose in less than two minutes. I'm a poor college student, and when I got some guppy fry earlier than prepared for, I McGyver-ed what I could with what I had on hand, and it works fabulously.
Just get a wire hanger, bend it to make a sort of frame shape, and stretch hose over it. I used needle and thread to attach the hose to the top of the hanger, and the hook of the hanger hangs on to the tank perfectly. Bam, isolated guppy fry.

Thats a great bit of improvisation HannahJ, nice job!
it also brings back a few memories, we used to use a similar idea
as kids to catch minnows in the local river, the framed pantyhose
was attached to a pole of course, lol
Very good idea, thanks for sharing.
Can you post some pictures of your "invention?"

I used a similar idea when I had my first batch of fry. I didn't think to use the hook to hang it on the tank though. Used pegs.
