This summer I plan on converting my freshwater 20g to a brackish tank and
moving the current inhabitants to a big 'ol 50 gal.

My question is, in setting up a brackish aquarium would I have any options
as far as plants go? I really enjoy the green lush look of my current set up.
Now obviously I can't use my current plants, but are there any species that
exist in brackish aquarium set ups? If so, how vast are my options?

thanks a bunch!

p.s. would anyone happen to have a good comprehensive link or page on setting up a brackish aquarium?

Thank you! :19: :sley: :13:

The only ones you can find and be sure they are brackish are the mangroves and the grasses, but there are a few here ([Only Registered Users Can See Links.]).

thanks a bunch Dave. So java moss will tolerate salt environments?

Do you happen to know of any online sites where I can buy
these plants? I know there's a site related to ebay but it's directed
mainly toward aquariums, I just don't remember the name.

Sure. I get a lot of my plants from floridadriftwood.com. Dwight's a good guy, and I've been buying from his site for years. Just tell him what you're doing, and he'll set you up.
