Fresh. They were very pretty juveniles. But dang! For the most part they looked just like silver wild types but a bit taller through the body. You could already make out the red fleck in there coloration.

I have to agree with you, I much prefer my Koi Angels

LOL :19: How many can I get you????????????????????????????????????:18:
What size tank?Filter?Wha.....Sorry,Its against my religion to pay that much for a fish, but I will pay for a larger tank! I do however have some guppy fry that I will sell for $50 each!

I like to watch angelfish but never really had the tank space for them.My next new venture will be discus.I don't think they would be a good mix anyway. At least not when they are older.

If they are rare, can you imagine what you could make off these fish selling them? Wow. $200 may well be a drop in the bucket if you were to sell about 2000 of them.

Come on smaug. Get some for your pond. LOLOL

Angels like that are ridiculously priced. Most of the time they are net caught wild fish, possibly sick and tend to be REALLY hard to acclimate. Totally not worth $200.

The worst part is that even if you can get them to breed most of the time the "spotting" that makes them so expensive doesn't get passed to the offspring. A poor investment IMHO.

I'd love to see a pic!

Googled them and this thread came up! :c2:

Your set-up cost are huge though. Imagine having to buy a dozen of those fish, and still not having one pair up? But I woke up one more to see 100 little babies swimming everywhere I'd probably start doing one of those lotto 649 happy dances! :19:

Never bought from that site. Wonder about their reputation. Been planning a big thumpin' angelfish tank for some time now . . .

I've heard a few complaints about shipping loses, but they made good on it.
They don't hold fish, they buy from the importers and ship.

I'd love a dozen Altums

WOW that looks ugly to me. I could set ups a decent 75g Oscar Tank for that and enjoy it ten times more.

Those are nice fish. Set them up in a nice big planted tank they would really look great. Not as dark as some of the altums or scalara as to draw too much attention to themselves.

I would definitely buy it for $20 if I had a tank set-up. $200 is crazy though, you could probably get any old altum and nobody but the most seasoned angelfish collector would ever know the difference.

I am more than happy to spend money on my hobbies. Much to my wifes dismay ;)

I have been looking at this thread for a couple days trying to be honest with myself. I could never spend 200 bucks on that fish. I bought 2 angelfish for 12 bucks. I dont care what color Angel you have... justify $388.00 more for fish that look very similar... I cant.

I went to the local saltwater shop today... For 400 bucks I could get several REALLY nice corals or a big pile if Fiji live rock.

I live like 5 miles or more from the actual store and actually saw them in person and they are pretty nice you can tell they were from the wild. They're mouths are more pointed thats the thing that struck me the most.
