I think i have had the worst day so far. First, i spilt all of my crickets all 100, and they all drowned. The food and gel also fell in the toad tank after the container fell off the canopy. Then, i siphoned most of it out, and tripped into the water pail and wiped out in the water, which flooded the carpet. Then, i spilt coffee allover my white shirt at work, theeeeen, i bumped my head in the kitchen and basement, and finally, the dog threw up and I stepped in in with socks.
a new record for a bad day.thumbs2:

now, the weirdest think. I had my toad tank with 1 female originally, but added one more female and a male since they were on sale. I bought them about a week ago. Today, i just found a DEAD LOOKING FETUS-EY THING. It looked like a really chopped up tadpole, but in mainly looked like a fish in their tank, and theres no fish even close to their tank. I found it when I added water to their tank, and it came out from my fluval filter i have sideways.
It was one messed up brown fetus.

E[Only Registered Users Can See Links.] How are FBT to keep? They have them for $3 here. They look neat and I kind of miss my frogs. We have to keep crickets anyway (we have lizards). Do they ever make noise?

fbt are easy to keep. They can tolerate poor conditions and require little space. In a 10g you can keep about 4, and in a 20g about 10. The only noise they make is if they want to mate they make the most anoying squeaky bark, but its kind of cute. They eat crickets and like to swim in shallow water.
The only thing is dont keep them with regular gravel. They can swallow it. I just put big egg sized pebbles in the corner, and driftwood to sit on. They also sit on the heater for some tanning. Lol. They dont really need a heater, but enjoy about 78f temp. For filtration, i just used a old fluval submersible filter sideways with polywool.
Also, dechlorinate the water. They cannot tolerate chlorine.:1:

Sounds easy. How do you think one would be on it's own? I have a 2.5 gallon tank, and I was think of something to stick in it.

one should work. A filter wouldnt be necessary. Just stack some rocks or a small chunk of driftwood, and ur set. Makesure the tank has a lid

I would anyway. I hate crickets. I had two get out in the same week. One was cricketing in my daughter's room, finally found it under the baseboard. The other was under our fridge. Drove me nuts! Now we buy them smaller and just get more. With the LFS across the street it's easy to buy them often.

now i had a bad day....
My teacher told me and my friend to paint the trench yellow. The type of paint we had to use was already picked out and stuff. Little did we know the paint was oil based. We had to clean out the brushes and i got paint all over my hands because of the water. I used soap and water trying to get the paint out which made things worse. I had to go down to the marine shop and get paint thinner to clean off my hands. That wouldn't work so i used acetone on my hands which made them all dry and crack and bleed. They hurt so bad. My hands are still yellow too.
On the good side
Yesterday i had a lot of fun with shane and his buddy rob. they wrote on my leg with permanent marker (we didn't know it was permanent) and so now my leg says "rob was here (heart)" and i have random dots in a huge circle. Oh well. I'm going to hangout with them agian tonight. But i have work on Thursday and Friday

I thught everybody knew this. Use WD-40 to wash away the oil based paints. Works great

whoa, that's really really gross. Do you think it was a baby frog? Or maybe someone's leftover dinner that they threw up? I always get freaked out when strange things "show up" in tanks.

It was way too gross to do an autopsy on, so i just flushed it. I dunno what it was:confused:

Nothing cures a bad day like a bag of oreos and a big glass of milk!! :)
