I usually go for about 5 watts per gallon, so adding the 50 watt heater will be fine. It is actually good to have two separate heaters so one can shut off if the other gets stuck on.

A powerhead is just a water pump. Sometimes they have a mechanical filter/pre-filter. They are used to power undergravel filters, other filters that are not self-powered, and just for some extra flow.

So if you use 5 watts per gallon I guess I am not using enough..I only use a 75 for my 27 gal hex...I do have one problem tho...My forced hot air duct is right near that tank and kinda keeps it warm so The water is always at 78-80 degrees, even when I had forgotten to plug the heater back in (all night) after doing a 50% water change so I know the water was not the right temp and still found it's way to the right spot...lol still do you think I should add another heater? or do you think what I have going on doing fine?

If it is enough than it is enough. I just usually go for about 5 watts per gallon, up to about 55 at which point you can (but I don't) cut down to 3 watts per gallon.
