Since I am in the process of downsizing to 3 main tanks, I have made my 100G into my SA/CA cichlid tank...I sat this thing up on Friday night. I added my Severum and Archers on Sat, BP and pleco yesterday, tested the water and did a 10% WC today and added my black Con and Salvini. They are having a bit of a turf war right now but its calmed down just as long as nobody gets in the severums place. The poor BP is trying to pick at the Con without any sucess

Green severum, im going with female due to the lack of striations on the face

The ugliest BP ever

Juvie Salvini, hes usually a lemony yellow but this was taken about 10minutes after introducing him to the tank

Black male con

Not to worry I added around 20lbs of gravel from my 150G, and filter media from random tanks...and decor from other tanks as well. I do 2 water tests per day and havent saw any ammonia or nitrite so far and nitrates are about 15ppm :)

wow! what tanks you have. Tell me about your Asian theme tanks. ARe you reading amano? Can i see a pic of one of those tanks. What are your breeding. i just noticed you had all these breeding tanks. 100 gallon on order! Will that be an Asian theme tank? Love to see a pic of that when it is done. What lights are you going to use on that 100 gallon?

LOL, I dont know hes a pretty ugly BP. I hated that fish when my mom came toting him home from walmart but I will admit hes grown on me :)

Thanks Brookfish, Im rather pleased at how the sev is maturing these days. She was a rather straggly juvie :)

The Sal is really maturing nicely...Ive taken a ton of pics of him I need to get off my camera :) Thats ok...alot of people are envious of my wood:18: I couldnt resist making that into a slightly perverse statement, sorry:11:

There is a pecking order but there isnt any true aggression in the tank. The severum in boss but then shes by far the largest, the poor BP tries to hassle everybody but the severum but thats more comical than anything. The Sal and Con for the moment dont seem to give a crap and dont bother anybody and the SDs just kind of play in the current all day.

Did I see an archerfish?

Yes you did :)

My 100G was a brackish tank, I re-located my scats and monos to my LFS in a display tank. I have done quite a bit of research on the species of archers that I have adaptability in FW...and have decided to try them in it. Their colors and activity level is actually better than when they were in a moderate brackish water.
