I had seashells is my 165lt tank as a hide out for my fry, until my male BN desided to trap my female in one, she spawned her eggs and he got stuck, We had to cut the shell open to get him out and the eggs ended up in a fry saver.........

Male stuck in shell:

Male with eggs:

The eggs hatched only 4 days after being spawned so totally pre mature. There is about 50-60 very little fry

Hopefully I can pull them trough, they are very very tiny.

Yip every one is doing good and the eggs already hatched as in the last picture but only 4 days after the spawn so they are very premature. But none has died yet. Hopefully they all pull trough. This couple of BN's spawn every 3 weeks since July. Very good looking fish.

Very well done! I hope you don't lose too many of the fry.
What are feeding them?

They are still feeding of there egg sacks at this stage and will be for the next 7-10 days, after that I usually feed the fry soft vedgies. I've never lost any but the dad usually did the job very well so I didin't need to worry, it is only cause we had to cut him out of the shell that he won't look after the eggs the normal way. So these little guys will be my first hand raised fry.

The fry is 3 days old today, all still doing very well and is just starting to change colour. Getting very cute indeed.
