free firemouths

anybody in the cincinnati area want some firemouths? they're about 3/4" right now. all you got to do is come get em.

sorry, no, i've never shipped anything before, so I don't trust myself not mess it up and end up you gettin a bag full of dead fish.

I put an ad for mine in my FreeCycle here and this woman come and got 54 of them and then she tells me she has a 55 gallon tank! Hope she gave away 48 of them. I mailed out another 30 or so and the postal service killed them. Easier to just cull them yourself. It's faster than dying the slow death.

yeah, mine are in a 55 now as well, tryin to find homes before they start multiplyin. hopefully I can at least find a couple of LFS that will take em. other wise they'll probably end up in freezer as turtle food. :(

you two would be rich around my parts. LFS can't get these fish in quick enough. As you can see why I'm searching for some more.

It doesn't help when they have 300 at a time. One of my females only 2 inches had a bunch of free swimmers last week. grrrrrr I may trying to divide males from females to stop with all the breeding.

well, if you find some get a 3 or 4 of em, and chances are once they hit breeding size you'll be able to stock every store within 50 miles of you. mine are the result of an unintentional breeding. I brought home 3 that were about 2" - 2 1/2" and in about a week i think it was, 2 had paired up and had fry

ha, yeah, these guys are as bad as convicts as far as I can tell :) I've also got a bunch of kribs with more on the way, but fortunately, there's not a tone of those around this area, so I should be able to get those out pretty easily

how do you tell em apart by the way? even after mine paired up I still couldn't tell them apart
