I have an adf that seems to be turning white in places. He is missing his hands. He is shedding his skin about twice a month. He floats a lot near the filter, but swims around at night. He is eating but is much smaller than my other one. The other one seems healthy and active. They are in a five gallon tank. I clean it about every other week. I keep the temperature between 71 and 75. I've had them for almost four years.

Thanks! I signed up at Frogfreaks.com. Do you think Chytrid could be the cause of the missing hands?

Missing hands is most likly from aggression.

You should move to a 20 gallon tall or a 10 gallon with lots of hidding places that should help slow down the agression.

a 5g is ok for 2 african dwarf frogs as long as its just the frogs, missing hands/front claws could possibly be bad water such as nitrite or ammonia poisoning spike ,what are your water pararmeters with your test kit as this will help,
shedding his skin twice a month is normal, floating around at the surface is also normal,
also turn your temp up to 76-77 as these frogs still like there heat, but do this slowly as not to shock them
the other thing is youve had the frog nearly 4 years thats good going so you also might need to think of age also, OAF (old age frog) bus pass on route?
