very cool plecos. What species is the bristlnose? The spots on the body look to be different than most bristles I have seen?

I'm not sure on the id of the bristlenose, a lot of people have commented on it's markings, if anyone can id the species that would be great.
Hi,
Nice pics.
The funny thing for me my Bristle Nose kills any thing that comes near him that is either another Bristle Nose or Pleco. Mine is a male, 4 inches.

Mine hides out most of the time, it was a lot more active when it was small,
is it just other plecs that your bristlenose attacks mac?
thats a wicked BN.... Kudos..

Great shots! That BN has me nearly stumped. He looks rather like Ancistrus punctatus, but I can't be sure. Post that picture over at planetcatfish.com in the 'what is my catfish' forum for a positive ID. Lovely fish, though, and I covet gorgeous Loricariads like that.

Thanks for the comments guys,
Dave, I agree it does look like an Ancistrus punctatus, but the spots
don't go the whole way into the tail could it be a hybrid?
I'll try and get an id on it.
