Seeing that my Guppy fry were getting too large for the breeder net, and I didn't have any other place to put them, I decided to put the 3 biggest females (all roughly 1 inch in size) from the group in with the adults 3 days ago. So far, they've gotten along well. The trio tends to hang around each other, and from time to time go up to the breeder kinda like saying hi to their siblings/cousins on the other side. The 10 gal is still cycling, so once that's done, that'll give more room for the fry and the adults to coexist.

Thanks. (: Now I added a few more females in for 6 total and moved the males out to their new home. Just in time for 2 more females to drop their loads in peace without being harassed constantly by the eager boys. One's already dropped around 10 fry and still counting.

Yeah... I know the algae's bad in the 20 G. That's the result of too much lighting since I have to use the lights in conjunction with the heater to keep the fish warm in these cold times especially since it's colder in my room than in any other room in the house. The heater was originally intended for the 10 Gallon, but it appears my 20 needed it more. Furthermore, I am aware the older fry are in cramped conditions, but I haven't been able to get anything bigger yet, and the trouble with releasing the males into the main is the whole breeding problem. I'm working on getting something larger for them to be in while they wait for the time when they can be moved into the 10 G. Still have to wait for that, because I don't want to push the limits too much. I still have the Bio Wheel and a used filter from my 20 along with a bit of Cycle to ease with the cycling in the 10. I've had good luck so far in that nothing has ever died while cycling before.

Don't have a big fish, nor do I know anyone with big fish, and I don't have the money for any more tanks. So donation is really the only option available.

Probably your best bet.Try and find an lfs that will give you credit towards future purchases.

Found one today thanks to a lady at Petco redirecting me. And it's one I've been to many times before. I just didn't know they did the store credit thing. I tried with the 5 males I had, but they were too small to get the cred, but seeing as I'm short on room as it is, I gave them up anyway. If nothing better, it served as knowledge as to where to go.
