does anyone have some ideas they would like to share for a new community population.

it is only a small tank, 10gallons. it is over filtered, and planted

I was thinking a school of rummy nose (bout 6),
perhaps a betta OR 2 golden ram
and if i dont get the betta, i would like a top dwelling fish.

Any comments or advice would be good,

thanks

A good top dweller is an austrailian bowfin.

yeah. cory's would be ok for the bottom. perhaps tetras, betta and cory?...leave the rams out...

Platy's are always nice to have, they don't make a mess, pretty calm...

your tanks a bit on the small side for rams maybe go for some small tetras neons, rummys cardinals a couple of corys and maybe some dannios, white clouds

hatchets would be good top dwellers.

yeah, too small for rams was my gut feeling...still might gun for betta, tetra and cory's....hope they all want world peace as well...

if i go for the above suggestion, any suggestions on who to introudce to the tank first?

thanks

danios. they're the most hardy on that list you have. then whatever fish after that, slowly. i would recommend adding the cory/cories last so that your algae has a chance to establish for them.
also, rummynose and cardinal tetra can be sensitive to water quality.

I thnk the betta, cory, tetra idea would work, provided your other fish leave you betta his space

Not white clouds. They like colder water than tropical temperature.
