What in the world is this

I looked in my take a few seconds ago and saw this white mass attached to a bristle worm. I have no clue what it is. The whole area is covered in slime. It doesn't look like part of my coral banded shrimps shell (he molted again 2 days ago). Is it good, or bad?

Has anyone seen this before?

I just took another look, I don't know if its alive or not, but the bristle worm is stuck, and it looks like its tugging back and forth

I don't know anything about salt water, but I do know that several months after set up they are very prone to cyanobacteria... this could be it...

Its not cyno, I have some, but its on my back glass, its the white thing in the picture. The worms have left it alone and its just sitting there, so I assume its not living. When I do my water change tonight I'll pull it out and take a close look and siphon out the clear slime (I think my turbo snail left the slime). I don't know where it could have come from, I don't have anything in the tank that looks like it and I haven't seen it before. Its just strange

The slime is probably from sploinid (sp) worms. They are VERY common tube worms on live rock. They secrete the slime to trap particles and then reel it in to their home.

I have a ton of them in my tank.

So the slime is probably nothing to worry about. I have no clue on the white thing, but if the worms are attacking it, it is probably something that died.
