Chain Loaches?

Can anyone tell me anything about chain loaches?

I quite fancy some little shoalers and it's a toss up between these or some Ottos.. what does anyone think?

Are the Chains fairly hardy cos they're bloomin' expensive!

They are expensive because they are an endangered species. They don't look to be as hardy as some of the other loaches, but I couldn't find anything that says they are difficult to keep. In your case, I would not buy them as they need to be in a group of 5 or more.
Otto cats seem to be nice little fish and I heard they are great at cleaning algae (both brown and green).
I would only go for one or two, you seem close to being overstocked.

cool, thanks Jeff... my three large Gouramis are going to a new home so if my levels stay as good as they are, I may get a few of these little fellas ;)
