I bought a 30gal tank at a garage sale a few months ago. It had a white film all ove the inside so i scrubbed on it for quite a while and it didnt come off but when it was wet it looked like it wasnt there. well now its starting to bug me and I think it is getting worse. Is there anyway to clean it off while the tank is full?

mild bleach solution, or better yet vinegar

I thought that would do it. but I wondered if there was any way with the tank still full.

is the stuff submerged or on the rim? submerged, you would need a aquarium scraper or razor blade, non submerged you can use a razor blade, rag with hot water, or the brand python makes a glass cleaner thats safe around water and fish

just to make sure this is a glass tank right? a razor blade will scratch the heck out of acrylic

I have a 75 gallon that has this all around and was run as saltwater, though I am going to initially do freshwater. I have been trying a 1 to 1 vinegar/water mix spray but not getting anywhere with it. Thoughts? Thanks guys.

Try pure white vinegar and a razor blade.Just be sure to rinse wllenough that you cannot smell the vinegar. It make take a fair bit of elbow grease but it should come clean!
