I started with a 10 or 20gal I dont remember. I started when I was about 6.
When I was young my dad had a 55 gallon tank. I got really interested in it and eventually he got me a 10 gallon tank for my room. I also had tanks for frogs, snakes, etc that I accumulated over time.

I started with my current 55 gallon. Got 3 more tanks within a year and then got rid of them to move house.

After our last dog died of old age, I started with a Betta in a bowl. It didn't take long to realize that I wanted him in a tank. It snowballed from there...:c3:

I started with a 2ft tank, soon got bored with the range of fish I could keep so bought and stocked a 6ft tank had that running for years and loved it but moved house and due to room shape dropped back down to a four foot tank.

10 gallon and before it had even cycled I knew it was to small so then a 20 and 29 gallon all within a month. All were a dumb purchase and I should have started with a 55. All the little tanks do is give you a bigger electric bill and no room for fish. :)

First tank was a 10, second tank was a 10gal, third tank was a 75.
mmmm... I like it was a 1.5 - 2 gallon bowl with a (big) rock in it and polliwogs (I was like 4 or 5 so I'm not sure you can call it my aquarium lol). I definitely started small and moved up. The first one I purchased on my own was a 5 gallon hex for a Beta (13-ish?) and then a 29 for some comets.

My first one was ten liters. Then, I got a 40 liters. Even later I got a 40 gallons... Then, I stopped for a long time, moved to a different country, started a new life.... and now I have my 30 gallon.... but looking forward to upgrading in the future when I have more money and space and live in a place that does not fuzz about 'owning non-fur-bearing pets'

I think my brothers tank was a 20g, back when he was 10 years old. Somehow I ended up taking care of it. After many years I got 20g tall just a few months ago. Hmm though now its out of control. I think I'm gonna average one tank a month, people keep giving them to me!!! Someone is dropping off a 10g tank with a molly tonight since their kid lost interest in it.
