hello, this is my 1st time posting to this site. i will like 2 say hello to you all. i am the owner of a 46 gallon bowfront tank for some strange reason my fish(2 pacu's) have stopped eating totally. halloween night i came in to find that they had eaten my algae eater, since then they will not eat !!!! i have tried giving them pellet food and shrimp food. what should i do? whats wrong with them? i am so worried i do not want them to die. since then i have changed the water and filters.

Welcome.

First of all that tank is far too small for even a single pacu. Secondly, some more information will be helpful:
1. Filtration
2. Water changing schedule
3. Water parameters

Times your tank by 12, thats a big enough tank for two pacus.
Welcome..

Isn't their growth rate amazing!? They are the fastest growing fish I have ever seen. I remember watching a baby I was raising from 2" grow...it seemed to have doubled in size every day or two. I was amazed! If they can be properly housed they are a great fish to keep with the personality of a dog or a cat.

You can turn a spare room into a tank for them. Please research the fish you want before trying to keep them. They could be stressed out from the size of the tank or they have indigestion from the pleco.
