? about TB's dying

If a TB is pregnant and does'nt find a sutable place to lay her eggs, could she conceivably die? The reason I ask this is cause I had 7 TB's 3 of which has died in the last 2 weeks all seeming pregnant. They are in a 20 gal tank with 1 piece of drift wood and a couple of fake plants. There tank mates are 3Pepper Cories and a Gold Fish. Anyways I thought I would ask, not sure if it's a dumb question. I hate to see my fish dying.

I don't think think they are pregnant but rather bloated. TB's will usually not breed unless the sexes are separated for a period of time.
What are you feeding??
what is tank size and parameters??

i agre they are bloated test the the tank for amonia and nitrates and next time this happens send in some pictures
