checked my tank this morning, and it looked like a siberian blizzard hit it. long behold, the single powerhead i have that has suction cups (the rest are koralias) fell (its 400gph) into the sand and was blowing all 400gph pretty much directly on my green galaxia 5 inches away. almost all my galaxia is hiding in the hole, think it'll be alright? ive got to do some search and rescue for a bunch of corals buried in sand now

Sorry, no idea about the corals. But I do know that suction cups=the devil in aquariums. I will never trust suction cups in an aquarium again.

It may be ok, but that is almost like the Galaxia getting sand blasted at that range. Being a LPS makes it difficult for Galaxia to fully retreat into the corallites. The exposed parts may take a few days to recover. Keep a close eye on it.

i feel bad for the galaxia, i bought it from aquagiant in crap shape. it was brown, dying, and missing alot of its arms. since ive gotten it, its colored up and not as bald
some arms have already come out, i think they hid right away when the sandstorm hit
