I've been using regular scissors (only used for that aquarium), but I really don't like how long the blades are, and I'm wondering if there are any pruning devices made especially for aquariums. So, what do you guys use to prune your plants? Or am I just weird because I don't like using scissors?

I am awful with pruning... I don't believe in all the specialized stuff on the market like $40 silver pruning equipment. Most of the time I just use the hands god gave me :c2: People would faint if they saw how rough I can be with plants (the rotala I rip out of the ground once a week once it has reached the surface and then just tear it in half in the middle like a sheet of paper and replant the tops) but they all grow like a charm and are all vey healthy.

That is nothing...if you really want to spend money you can give out $100 for a pair of pruning scissors

Worst thing is they have realllllly bad reviews on the tools around the net so how someone can justify giving that much out for them is beyond me...

I guess if you have a very heavily planted tank it would make sense to have special curved pruning equipment. I still wouldn't pay $100 for them!

This made me crack up:
Sand Flattener
Our Price: $39.00

Seriously... :xmad:

I do this to the plants that I can. It is a little difficult to split plants with rhizomes this way though. I usually use a razor blade or sharp scissors for this.
